Comprehensive Assessment & Personalized Treatment

Dr Sierra treats acute & chronic conditions for children, women and men, and always starts with a full and comprehensive history for the present health problem, as well as a review of all other bodily systems. Her understanding is furthered by evaluating other health care practitioners’ approaches to the patient and his/her response to these interventions. Many times the acquisition of other medical providers’ records will further this, especially if the patient has traveled a long road before becoming Dr. Sierra’s patient.

Dr. Sierra will perform a complete or system-focused physical exam for each patient, depending on the need, and then decide on the lab tests that will help to authenticate and further a medical hypothesis. Each person will have a completely different and individualized approach developed for them, which will always embrace the patient’s own ideas, interests, intuition, and capabilities.

It is a process of working together as a team, and finding the best way to tackle the dual problems of carefully defining the problem and finding the proper personal solutions. The solutions may be subtle and inclusive of lifestyle changes, medications (whether prescribed or natural) and/or physical remedies, (like chiropractic, physical therapy, massage, yoga, pilates, cranio-sacral and the like.)

Dr. Sierra is very broad in her approach and will often utilize a practical approach to symptom alleviation, while always attempting to educate and inspire the patient to seek permanent cure through significant and broad commitments to health building strategies. She considers all of medicine to be at hers and the patient’s disposal and finds solutions that have the greatest health building effect.
